Frequently asked questions

When should I use this instead of the Sync Fixer?

When every subtitle is early or late by the same amount from start to end. If the gap grows as the video plays, use the Subtitle Sync Fixer instead.

What if a shift would move a subtitle before the start of the video?

That timestamp stops at zero instead of going negative, and the tool warns you about the subtitles affected.

Can I shift by part of a second?

Yes. You can enter decimal seconds with up to three decimal places — for example 0.5, 1.25 or -2.5 — so shifts as fine as one millisecond work.
