Frequently asked questions
What ways can I split a file?
Three: into a chosen number of parts, by how many subtitles go in each file, or by time interval.
Will the split files still work in my player?
Yes — each part is saved as a normal SRT file. By default, later parts keep the timestamps they had in the full file; if you choose “Reset times for each part”, each part is re-based so it starts from its first subtitle (with the time-interval split, each part is re-based to the start of its interval).
Is there a cost or signup?
No — it is free and no signup is needed.
